Our school is located in a beautiful environment in the beautiful hills of Kandy in the Central Province. This is one of the Muslim schools in Gampola, which was founded in 1942 as Andiyakadawatte Muslim Vidyalaya in Andiyakadawatte. Then in 1948 it was shifted to its current location in Gampolawatte and later on in 2006 it was renamed as  Al-Hikma Maha Vidyalaya. Al-hikma Maha Vidyalaya which has been in existence for over 75 years and it is a well known School in Gampola Zone with more than 200 students and 27 Teachers. The academic activities of the college are carried out under two sections, primary and secondary.

The present principal Mr. M.H.M. Nuhuman along with his staff has taken the challenge to improve the results in Grade five scholarship, G.C.E O/L and A/L examinations along with the increase of number of university intakes, each year...
